Plot summary
Liv is a Manhattan attorney and Emma is a middle school teacher, and the two have been best friends since childhood, ever since they watched a wedding at the Plaza Hotel and began planning June ceremonies of their own there. Their boyfriends propose on the same day, and both women engage Marion St. Claire, the city's most sought-after wedding planner, who tells them only three June dates remain at the Plaza, two of them on June 6 at the same hour and a third on June 27. Each picks a different date so the two days will not clash, but a mistake in the planner's office books them both for June 6. Neither will give way.
