Plot summary
Boy lives in a city ruled by the Van Der Koy family. Hilda, the head of the family, gathers twelve citizens once a year for The Culling and has them killed on live television. Boy plays arcade games with his younger sister Mina and draws pictures of the future they want. When Hilda takes the two children and their mother, Mina and their mother are shot and Boy is left for dead, deaf and mute. A shaman nurses him back to health and trains him for years to fight. The grown Boy, who hallucinates Mina, sees Glen and Gideon gather that year's victims for the Culling.

- Samara Weaving dropped out of Boy Kills World because of scheduling conflicts, and Jessica Rothe was brought in to replace her in the cast.
- Moritz Mohr got Boy Kills World made by pitching it to Sam Raimi and Roy Lee with a short and a previsualization reel, which impressed them into producing; Orion Pictures had been involved but dropped out after the COVID-19 pandemic.
