Plot summary
Kazakhstan's president, Nursultan Nazarbayev, releases the journalist Borat Sagdiyev from a gulag after 14 years of forced labor and hands him a mission: carry the nation's culture minister, Johnny the Monkey, to President Donald Trump, so Kazakhstan's honor can be restored. Before he leaves, Borat finds that his neighbor Nursultan Tulyakbay has taken his home and family, and that his 15-year-old daughter Tutar has been living in his barn. Barred from getting close to Trump, he decides to offer the monkey to Vice President Mike Pence instead. Borat travels by cargo ship to Galveston, Texas, where he learns that he is a celebrity, and he buys several disguises to stay unnoticed.
