Plot summary
Jones & Sons is an upmarket restaurant in London, and Andy Jones is its head chef. A hygiene inspection drops its rating from 5 to 3, with paperwork and sanitation at several work stations cited. Andy scolds the kitchen staff, then finds that his turbot was thrown out because it carried no label. Beth, in charge of the dining room, gathers everyone: the evening is overbooked, one table has a marriage proposal planned, and celebrity chef Alastair Skye is booked with Sara Southworth, a food critic. Andy is annoyed he was told too late to prepare. Beth warns saucier Freeman about his swearing. As dinner service begins, friction builds in the kitchen and the dining room, and the staff chafe at Beth's micromanagement.
