Plot summary
In a downbeat coastal town on England's south coast, Jay is isolated and lost and leaves home to search for Shane, the estranged father who owns Cheetahs, a local boxing gym, and works as a debt collector in the town. Jay enters the boxing gym scene in the hope of growing closer to Shane and reconnecting with him, and befriends some of the local young people who hang around the gym and who take part time work with T&L Credit, the local debt collection business Shane runs. Jay is also caught up in an inner conflict over sexuality and self-confidence.
