Plot summary
Nelly and Ernesto Andres leave Colombia with their sons Carly and Mateo and settle the family in the United States. The move takes them away from the political unrest at home and gives the boys their last years of high school in a new country. Carly is a metalhead and a science prodigy with a plan to attend the Georgia Aerospace Institute and work for NASA. Mateo, his younger brother, is the first to express doubt about the family's decision. Once they are living in America, the life in front of them does not match the one they imagined, and the family struggles to adapt.
