Plot summary
Catherine Weaver is an FBI agent working undercover as Katie Phillips in a farming community in the American Midwest. The bureau sends her there after a Jewish radio host is murdered in Chicago, suspecting the community of harboring those responsible. Landowner and farmer Gary Simmons welcomes her, along with his two children and his extended family. Simmons is a Vietnam War veteran who has the respect of the local community. As she works the case, she becomes romantically involved with him.
