Plot summary
Four street kids at a skate park each tell a different story about seeing Batman that day, and each version gives him different powers. Officers Crispus Allen and Anna Ramirez, hand-picked by Lieutenant Gordon, escort a prisoner to Arkham and argue about whether Batman can be trusted. Lucius Fox builds a device from a WayneCom satellite gyro that deflects gunfire, and Bruce Wayne tries it in the field. A riot at a cathedral follows the abduction of Cardinal O'Fallon, and Batman and Gordon link it to the Scarecrow's fear toxin. Shot in the sewers, Batman recalls training with Cassandra, who taught him to withstand pain. A hired assassin called Deadshot arrives in Gotham, and Batman guards Gordon.
