Plot summary
Alvin Sanders is a petty thief and hustler who lands in jail for stealing prawns. In prison he shares a cell with John Delano Jaster, who robbed the Federal Reserve Bank of New York of $42 million in gold and double-crossed his partner, Bristol. Bristol is a dangerous mastermind with computer skills and a long memory. Treasury Agent Edgar Clenteen questions Jaster, who dies of heart failure, leaving only a puzzling message for his wife. The feds release Alvin as bait, hoping Bristol will follow him to the hidden gold. Alvin wants to start fresh with his girlfriend, Lisa, but his talent for trouble, especially with his younger brother Stevie, keeps the surveillance team busy.
