Plot summary
A car runs a driver off the road, and he wakes in a hospital with no memory of who he is. A body found in his trunk makes him the suspect in the area's fifth killing, the work of a serial murderer. Listed as John Doe, he leaves the hospital with Diana, a nurse who had been friendly to him, as his hostage. Diana's father was convicted of murder, hanged himself, and was cleared years later, and she carries the guilt. John sets out to prove his innocence, and Diana agrees to help him.
