Plot summary
Zoe's mother is reluctant to let her deaf daughter drive alone to move in with her boyfriend, Dane, but Zoe goes anyway. On the road she stops to help an injured man and is seized by members of a local gang whose ancestors wiped out the Apache who once lived on that land; the gang keeps the skull of an Apache chief as a trophy. The old graveyard keeper Grey Wolf tries to bring Zoe back, and the ceremony also returns Mangas Coloradas, the Apache war chief killed by an ancestor of one of her attackers. The chief takes hold of Zoe's body. Grey Wolf warns that her flesh will decay quickly and that the two souls must be avenged soon.

- Director Michael S. Ojeda based the script on an earlier unproduced screenplay inspired by a real motel stay in Superior, Arizona, where he was given a room where someone had died a year earlier, prompting him to check in for two weeks and write the script there.
- Amanda Adrienne's head shot was the first one that director Michael S. Ojeda saw. A natural brunette, she had blonde hair when she auditioned, and Ojeda "wanted a blonde because the blood would look better on the hair and [Adrienne would] look more angelic".
