Plot summary
Broken Nose Dawson, a gang leader wanted for murder, goes to Dr. H. L. Buler to have his appearance altered. The doctor's nurse, Mary McCall, assists him and knows the patient's face. Dawson's underling, Muggsie Brown, says the new face makes him look like a movie star. Dawson moves to Hollywood, takes elocution lessons and, as Spencer Dutro, is cast as a gangster opposite the actress Sheila Barry, who is not impressed by his acting or his ego.
