Addison Randall
Biography
Addison Randall, who often worked under the name Jack Randall, was an American actor best known for Western films. Born in San Fernando, California, in 1906, he attended Kemper Military School in Missouri before starting his screen career at RKO as a supporting actor and foil. He left RKO when Monogram Pictures offered him starring roles, and he went on to appear in Westerns throughout the 1930s and 1940s. In 1935 he played a Western star in RKO's Another Face (1935). Many of his early Monogram B-movies cast him as a singing cowboy, while later ones were straight Western stories held back by small budgets. He also acted under the names Allen Byron and Byron Vance, adopting Allen Byron in the 1940s to revive his career, though his work for Producers Releasing Corporation did not do so. Randall died in 1945.
