Did you know?!Facts and trivia about All Things Fall Apart (2011)
Can contain spoilers, watch the movie first.
- The film was produced under the same title as Chinua Achebe's 1958 postcolonial novel Things Fall Apart; after being contacted by Achebe's legal team, Jackson offered $1 million to keep the title, and Achebe took this as an insult.
- Jackson based his character on a childhood friend who died of cancer and lost up to 54 pounds to portray him, dropping from "214 pounds to 160 in nine weeks after liquid dieting and running on a treadmill three hours a day".
- The foundation that manages Achebe's copyrights answered that the novel "is listed as the most-read book in modern African literature, and won't be sold for even £1 billion".
