Plot summary
Tommy Johnson is twenty-nine, bored, and a member of the Chelsea hooligan firm. Weekends mean drink, cocaine, women and fights, with Rod King as his closest friend and the hot-tempered Billy Bright alongside them. Harris, the firm's head, organizes the meets and keeps a register. Billy Bright, around forty and part of the older generation, wants the top job and lacks the calm for it. Zeberdee and Raff, the younger members, are already caught up in crime and drugs. Tommy's grandfather Bill Farrell, a veteran of the D-Day landings in his late seventies, disapproves of the drinking and fighting and plans to retire to Australia with his friend Albert Moss. Fred leads the rival Millwall firm.
