Plot summary
Guy Talbot is an isolated workaholic, and he goes looking for a secretary who can help him manage his life and his business. The first person to apply for the job is Iesha Stayput, who appears to be a mannequin that moves, speaks and breathes. He hires her, and she handles his affairs, though the reasons he keeps her close are not professional. Veronique, a vivacious client of his, swoons over Guy and grows frustrated when he shows her no interest; his interest goes to his new co-worker instead. Agalmatophilia is the name for attraction to a statue, a doll or a mannequin.
