Plot summary
Preston Rogers, a paraplegic widower, arrives at his remote cabin in the woods with his nurse, Otis. Karen, Michelle, C.J., Tracy, and Amanda are staying next door for a bachelorette party. After Otis leaves, Preston sees Karen step outside and later notices her phone on the ground, correctly surmising that something has happened to her. A fallen telephone pole prevents him from calling for help, and through binoculars he sees a pair of large eyes watching him from the trees. When he tries to tell Otis, the nurse dismisses him. As the night continues, Preston becomes convinced that a Bigfoot is stalking the property, but no one believes him.

- The monster's sounds were assembled from animal recordings: its main breathing was a panting horse slowed down, while its snarls and purrs came from lions, tigers, leopards, jaguars and clouded leopards.
- Cinematographer Neil Fredricks shot Abominable on 35mm film stock for a more dated look; he died in a plane crash during post-production, after seeing a cut, and the film is dedicated to his memory.
