Plot summary
Twenty-six chapters make up the anthology, one for each letter of the alphabet. Every chapter went to a different filmmaker, who picked a word beginning with the assigned letter and built a story around a death; those deaths run from accidents to murders. The segments come from countries around the world, and the slot for the 26th was filled through a contest. A stop-motion storybook opens the film, and a teacher with a skeleton face introduces the titles, the segments fading in and out of black. The chapters steer between comedy and horror, and the anthology is the second of its series, following the 2012 film.
