Plot summary
Kate Holiday is a hard-working bakery owner, and this holiday season has brought her more orders for Christmas cookies than she has time to fill. Her boyfriend suddenly breaks up with her, and the shred of Christmas joy she was holding onto disappears with him. That night she hangs a final ornament on her tree and goes to sleep. The next morning she wakes to a little Christmas magic: a handsome soldier named Chip is standing in her living room. Whether he is the Nutcracker Prince of Tchaikovsky's "The Nutcracker" is unclear.
