Plot summary
Frank Connor came out of the Civil War a soldier and went to work as a bounty hunter. What he saw in the war haunts him still. He spends his post-war days chasing fugitives and drinking whiskey. Two desperate children come to his door and ask for his help. Their mother, Heather Powell, has gone missing, and they want Frank to find her. The road leads toward the notorious Major Briggs, and Frank has a score of his own to settle with the man. Taking Briggs down would mean facing the past Frank has been carrying since the war.
