Plot summary

As a nine-year-old, Jessica spent a summer in the woods with a boy she called Han Solo, a golden dog beside them, and the two buried keepsakes in a time capsule before they parted. Years later, now a federal lawyer, Jessica comes back to her parents' home for Christmas and finds the house has been sold. The new owner, Michael, is a single father; she is divorced and has a child of her own. Each came back to the town they had known as children, and the two compete over the same childhood memories. Jessica wants the house back.
