Plot summary
At the Villa D'Oro in Stateline, Nevada, Steve McCluskey runs the casino's gambling, and Chris Lockwood sings in its club. A gambler leaves his young daughter, Penny Piper, behind at the casino, and Steve and Chris take her in. The girl proves troublesome, and her presence complicates Steve's effort to hold on to his gaming license. Penny decides Steve ought to marry and settle down, and she sets about pushing him toward Chris. Steve is still bruised by his first marriage and wary of another one. Steve also takes Penny for a day at Disneyland.
