Plot summary
A lake house has come to Monroe Bachman and his sister Hilary, and the rumor that the horror writer Stephen King lives nearby makes the inheritance more appealing to them. They take a group of friends to the lake house to look it over. The locals they meet offer immediate resistance and deny that King lives anywhere close, and the visitors are unwelcome. Monroe, Hilary and their friends decide to stay.
