Plot summary
In a near future, violence has turned into a kind of national sport and television news has dropped to tabloid depths. Patrick Hale, a reporter who travels the world and reaches its leaders, goes to the Arab country of Hegreb to interview King Ibn Awad. The king has learned the American president may want him removed, and he plans to have two suitcase nukes exploded in Israel and the United States if the president does not resign. Hale is caught between leaders, revolutionaries and intelligence agents.
