Plot summary

Anna regains consciousness on a small island in the North Sea with her memory gone and a pregnancy she cannot account for. Helen and Peter look after her, and James is introduced to her as her husband; the pair, she learns, reached the island from the mainland, though nothing is said about why they left. Doctor Henry examines her, and photographs and videos are meant to bring her past back, but the amnesia does not lift. Two visitors arrive from the mainland showing signs of the virus that has spread across the world, and an altercation follows. Anna is then separated from the others while the doctor determines whether she and her unborn child have been infected.
