Plot summary

Presented as footage recovered from memory cards, the film follows four friends who travel to the Mojave Desert in 2017 to make a music video. Robbie, who hopes to work as a filmmaker, brings his brother Scott and their friend Angela; Michelle is the one who is to appear in the video. They load their equipment and set out, passing a first night at a small lake, then drive deeper. A band of donkeys blocks the road. They make camp at a hillside spot near a dried-up lakebed, and booming sounds in the dark wake them.
