Plot summary
Cyrus Kinnick, a young man visiting Las Vegas, hires Nick Wild to show him around the city and to watch over him while he gambles. Nick is a recovering gambling addict who pays for his habit with chaperone work, his own name for bodyguarding. At a diner, Nick's friend Roxy, a waitress, hands him a message from Holly, an escort he knows, who asks him to come to her house. Holly describes a night at the Golden Nugget that ended with three men beating and raping her in their hotel room. She asks Nick to identify the men so she can sue them.
