Plot summary
Harry Nilsson was an American singer-songwriter. The documentary follows his life from childhood onward, and much of it is told by the people who knew him. Close to three dozen friends, colleagues and extended family members sit for interviews, among them his wives and children, sharing memories of the man, his music, and what that music meant to them. Nilsson himself appears in archive footage and narrates parts of his own story. Instead of asking critics or historians to establish his standing, the account stays with those who watched his career unfold, through Grammy wins, a divorce and struggles with substance abuse.
