Plot summary
Two careers anchor a chronicle of three decades of electronic dance music. Carl Cox, resident DJ at the Ibiza nightclub Space since 2001, opens it by walking through the club's empty cavern. Martin Garrix is the superstar newcomer at the other end of that history. Artists from across the genre sit for interviews about the music and its place in pop culture, among them Moby, David Guetta, Paul Oakenfold, Pete Tong, Tiësto, Afrojack, Steve Angello, Erick Morillo, Ed Sheeran, Usher, Chip Eberhart and Louis Vega. Their accounts set the old school against the new school, and the mainstream against the underground.
