Welcome to Paradise (2007) on Netflix

Plot summary

Debbie Laramie comes to the small town of Paradise as its new preacher, with her son Hayden. Her unorthodox methods had already pushed her out of a big-city church, and the people of Paradise prove unreceptive as well; the town also turns away from its poorest residents. Debbie sets out to open the congregation to everyone, the poor and the outcast included. One of her methods is to ask Trevor Goodman, an older man who lives on the streets, to sing during a service. Her efforts begin to loosen the indifference around her, and the members start to show more tolerance and consideration toward one another.
