Plot summary

Alberta has no money and no survival skills to speak of, and the cash she loses in her hometown is not her own, so she leaves for the city and turns up at the apartment of Celene, the babysitter who once looked after her. Celene wears thigh-high boots, keeps a classy apartment and works as a professional dominatrix. She lets Alberta stay, and Alberta finds a job as a supermarket checker. Watching what Celene does for a living, Alberta decides to pass herself off as her roommate, drawn by the three hundred dollars an hour. Her first client is Paul; partway through their session, three men break into the house, convinced that Paul has taken half a million dollars from Rene's club.
