Unrivaled (2010) on Netflix

Plot summary

Gracie Duran was a kick boxer from Argentina; her son Ringo Duran works two jobs and fights full contact in cages, and he has put off a professional career for so long that age is against him. The Maximum Cage Warriors league, a full contact promoter, announces a tournament to select an undiscovered fighter. Friends urge Ringo to enter, and Kara, his love interest, does the same, but he says he is not ready. Link signs him up online without telling him. Thousands submit and four will be chosen. A television report at his gym names Ringo among the four, and his rival Alonso Scott as well. His coach, his friends and Kara persuade him to compete.
