Plot summary
Aisha is staying in a seaside town with her children when the death of her husband leaves her in depression. The duties of a parent fall to Vi, her oldest daughter, who looks after the family in her mother's place. Troy, Vi's younger brother, has been excluded from school and has grown increasingly cut off from his mother and sister. The family's problems come to a head during the stay.
