Plot summary
Since his divorce from Angela, Stephen Landis has settled into a routine on his Idaho ranch with Leah, his girlfriend, and Roxanne, Leah's daughter. That routine is broken when Dulcie, his daughter with Angela, comes for the summer after a fight with her mother. Angela tries to warn him that the girl has been disruptive, and Stephen carries guilt over his absence as a father. Dulcie's rebelliousness puts pressure on the household and on his relationship with Leah, and father and daughter begin to work at the distance the divorce left between them.
