Turnt (2020) on Netflix

Plot summary

Street violence ends Kenny Stanford's dream of a career in music. His older brother Libaraiers Stanford had lived by money, power and respect. After his brother's death, Libaraiers takes a new and unlikely path as a rap artist and learns he has raw talent. That talent, joined to his street persona, gives him the name Rilla. He vows to avenge his brother and to reach success in his memory, and his plan runs through Turnt, a television show that gives musical artists a platform into the mainstream. His manager Courtney Thomas wants to guide him toward becoming an international superstar. Rilla would rather cause pain to the DJs, promoters and record companies unwilling to deal with him.
