Plot summary
Winter break has emptied an elite university in Vermont, and the locals and faculty who remain get ready for the annual Christmas Bar Trivia Tournament. Celeste, an astronomy professor, has built her life around knowing the right answer, and a quiz contest suits her. Then a colleague leaves for a month of lectures in Asia, so her team has to add Max, the new offensive coordinator for the football team. Celeste finds him a grown-up class clown, and the two clash from the start. He arrives, though, with the sports trivia her team has never been strong in, and the tournament keeps them on the same team through the holidays.
