Plot summary
Stef Owen has not stepped outside her house for years. The loss of her brother Liam and a dread of the unknown keep her inside. Stef, a translator, is rendering a story of lost love from a previous generation. Evan Llyod, Liam's closest friend, comes to the house to give her Liam's journal, and the two begin a relationship. Evan's images of the world outside show Stef places the two of them could inhabit. Facing what they each went through, they ask whether the bond between them can hold. Stef weighs the future she wants, and whether it includes Evan.
