Plot summary
The tunnels beneath New York City shelter a community of people who have made them a home, among them Nikki and her five-year-old daughter Little. When a police-mandated eviction clears the tunnels, the residents are driven out and the pair climb aboveground into the cold of a winter night. Mother and daughter have no place to stay up there, and Nikki searches for shelter while trying to get back to the tunnels.
