Plot summary
Clara Topper believes her husband Cosmo was carrying on with Marion Kerby, the ghost who once traveled at his side, and her friend Mrs. Parkhurst has convinced her that the strange circumstances of that trip are grounds for divorce. In court Cosmo explains how he met the Kerbys, and the judge refuses a divorce because of his strange behavior. Marion, who must do good on Earth before she can enter Heaven, comes back to help Cosmo, whose troubles with Clara are partly her doing: Clara took her for his mistress. This time Marion has only a canine spirit, Mr. Atlas, at her side.
