Plot summary
Ben Shaw arrives to stay with his father, Liam, while his parents go through a divorce. He finds work at a marina, where he meets Mallory, and he sees Liam growing close to Sara, a co-worker. Decades earlier, Megan comes to the Gambel home to look after their daughter Ashley and finds a creature in the basement. In the woods, Dillon, the son of the neighbor Abbie, finds a tree carrying the same symbol. Something crawls out of the body of a buck that Dillon and Abbie brought home.
