Jamison Jones
Biography
Jamison Jones is an American actor known for leading roles in films such as He Was a Quiet Man (2007) and The Wretched (2019), and for regular television work on General Hospital and the Fox series 24. Born in Rochester, Michigan, he began his professional career on stage in European premieres at the Edinburgh Festival before training at the American Conservatory Theater, where he later joined the acting company. His stage work included Angels in America, Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead, Othello, and Macbeth, and he originated the title role in Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa's Doctor Cerberus at South Coast Repertory. His early screen appearances were in Radioland Murders (1994) and the video game Star Wars: Rebel Assault II (1995). Later film credits include Dark Blue (2002), Hollywood Homicide (2003), He Was a Quiet Man (2007), and West of Brooklyn (2008), which he also produced. He has guest-starred on Burn Notice, Will & Grace, NCIS, True Detective, and The Whispers.

Jones was the first to play the title part in Doctor Cerberus, by Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, when the play had its world premiere at the Tony Award-winning South Coast Repertory.
First role
Jones began his professional career on stage at the Edinburgh Festival in Scotland, appearing in the European Premieres of Purple Hearts and Tennessee in the Summer.
Early training
Jones earned his MFA through the Advanced Training Program at the American Conservatory Theater, then became part of ACT's professional acting company, where his work included the Mark Wing-Davey directed Angels in America.

Jones began his film career with a part in Lucasfilm's Radioland Murders (1994), followed by a role in the LucasArts video game Star Wars: Rebel Assault II (1995).
Behind the camera
Jones has worked as a theater director, screenwriter and producer, and he is a part-owner of Jones Films Entertainment, a bi-coastal film development company. Its projects in development include Agoura Hills and Malibu Gothic.
A change of course
Jones gave acting lessons at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy, and he keeps teaching privately in Hollywood at Television Center Studios.
