Plot summary
Sent home from college on suspension, David Welch falls back in with Greg and George, the friends who make up the War Boys. The three pass their days near the border with Mexico, tipping off the border patrol about crossings they spot. David's father, Slater, owns a trucking company, and he refuses to let his son quit college and work there. So David decides to take one of the company's trucks, which he believes is carrying black market televisions from Mexico, and sell the load. Greg and George join the plan, and the boys drive the truck to a lonely spot, lock it, and go looking for someone to buy the goods. Slater vows to find whoever took it.
