The Trust (2016) on Netflix

Plot summary

Sergeant David Waters and Lieutenant Jim Stone sort evidence in a Las Vegas police unit. Bored and short of money, they catalog items from closed cases. When Stone finds a bail receipt for a low-level drug dealer who paid $200,000 in cash, the two suspect the dealer has access to far more. Stone watches the hotel where the dealer works and learns that the gang moves everything into one building. Waters obtains blueprints and finds a large safe built behind an industrial freezer, left unguarded. The two decide to break in, buying a drill press, a diamond-tipped drill from Germany and black market guns paid for with cash from a corrupt colleague. Their plan requires drilling from the apartment above the freezer, though how to handle the people inside is unsettled.
