Plot summary
Patrick is a fashion photographer whose sister Caroline, a recovering addict, has joined Eden Parish. She writes to invite him to the community, a drug-free rural settlement founded by a religious leader called Father. Patrick brings his coworker Sam Turner and cameraman Jake, and the three propose a documentary about the reunion. The community sits in a secluded compound reachable by helicopter. At the airfield, guides who expect only Patrick are surprised by a film crew and contact Father, who permits the group to enter. Armed guards delay them at the commune, and Jake and Sam grow uneasy, but Caroline appears and welcomes them. Residents describe how Father gives them hope, and nurse Wendy explains that the medical center is stocked by donations from members who have sold their possessions. Caroline arranges an interview with Father.
