Kentucker Audley
Biography
Kentucker Audley, the professional name of Andrew Michael Nenninger, is an American actor and filmmaker. Born in 1981, he grew up in Lexington, Kentucky, and chose his pseudonym as a tribute to his home state. He studied film and video production at the Savannah College of Art & Design, gained experience with the Memphis Digital Media Co-Op, and graduated from the University of Memphis in 2005. His first feature, Team Picture (2007), was central to the Southern mumblecore movement he was associated with, and in 2007 Filmmaker magazine included him in its 25 New Faces of Independent Film. He started NoBudge as a Tumblr blog in 2011 and turned it into a full website in 2015. Audley has said that watching Wes Anderson's Bottle Rocket (1996) in eighth grade first drew him to film, and he has named Jim Jarmusch, John Cassavetes and Jean-Luc Godard as inspirations.
