Plot summary
In his day Smokey Banks was one of rodeo's top bull riders. These days the betting window and the bottle take up more of his time than any animal, and the beatings he takes are worse than any bull gave him. Trouble catches up with him, and he is handed a way out: jail, or a job as a cowboy teacher at a ranch for boys. A dozen young charges there are wild as any bull he drew, and his task is to teach one of them, Danny O'Neil, how to ride a bull. Smokey takes the deal, though not gladly.
