Plot summary
A museum assistant, Jane Hogan, works for the Egyptologist Dr. Jordan and finds him dead at the foot of King Tush's sarcophagus, a poison-filled syringe beside his open hand. She takes the syringe away, and when it turns up she is convicted of murder. Dr. Wilson of the Egyptian Museum then telephones Clark Kent at the Daily Planet with evidence that Hogan is innocent. Clark slips out to the museum, and Lois Lane follows him. Wilson leads Clark through the Egypt exhibit and recounts King Tush's story: the pharaoh his father set giant superhuman guards to protect him for eternity, and they took poison when the boy king died. Jordan rebuilt the pyramid catacombs and brewed a Fluid of Life, which he injected into the mummified guards.
