Plot summary
Ethan Cooper works the counter at a computer repair shop and shares a place with Sam, who hears his account of a crush on Emily Atkins that began in elementary school. Lexy, Ethan's sister, is a florist. At her shop Ethan gets an offer from Mrs. Taylor: money to end the relationship of her daughter, Veronica. He takes the job and succeeds, and Veronica becomes attached to him. Mrs. Taylor passes his name to other parents, and the work becomes steady.
