Plot summary
The territorial governor sends the Lone Ranger and Tonto to find out why white settlers are being attacked in raids by masked Indians, who ride with saddles. The raids come while Reese Kilgore, a wealthy rancher in the territory, has plans for the silver lying under Spirit Mountain, land the local tribe treats as sacred. Kilgore wants the natives and the white ranchers at war with each other. The masked man's efforts to prevent that are hampered by a struggle for power within the tribe, where the ailing Chief Red Hawk leads and the young Angry Horse is ambitious for his place.
