Plot summary
A retired rodeo legend, Joe Wainwright once held the bull riding world title. His neck was broken in a drunken ride, and his daughter Sally set her own professional pursuits aside to care for him during his recovery; father and daughter are estranged. Now his grandson needs an invasive operation for a brain tumor, and neither Joe's military veteran benefits nor the family's insurance will pay for it. The Professional Bull Riders holds a high-stakes competition open to former legends, with $750,000 for first place. Joe signs up as the oldest contestant ever, accepting the insurance waiver the event requires.
